The Society of Licensed Conveyancers
Welcome to the website of the Society of Licensed Conveyancers.
The Society is here to represent the interests of licensed conveyancers in England and Wales. It began over 20 years ago, enjoying widespread support among licensees from the outset. Formed by practitioners to support all members of the profession, it offers practical assistance to its members, whether they are students, new to the professions, employed or run their own practices.
The Society is governed by an elected Board of Management dedicated to the promotion of Licensed Conveyancers both within the industry but also in the eyes of the public.
Aims of the Society
The Society strives to improve the position of the Licensed Conveyancers.
Lobbying activities include persuasive approaches to Government Departments and Parliamentarians to improve the home moving process and conveyancing transactions generally, and include the Licensed Conveyancers in the decision making process.
To give the membership the opportunity to put forward their views in response to consultation by the legislative bodies.
To secure benefits for small and medium sized practices which would normally be available only to high volume organisations.
